HART Communication

Introduction

HART ka full form Highway Addressable Remote Transducer hota hai.Jo ki ek hybrid industrial automation open protocol hota hai. Iska sabse bada advantage ye hota hai ki 4-20 mA analog instrumentation current loop par communicate kar sakta hai. Analog keval HART system ki madad se ki jane wali wiring ke pair ko hi share kar sakta hai. HART communication ek master slave communication protocol hota hai that means ek normal operation me har slave (field device) ka communication initiate hota hai, master communication ki madad se. Do master devices connect ho sakta hai sabhi HART loop se. Primary masters generally DCS (Distributed Control System) , PLC ya PC ho sakta hai. Secondary master ek handheld terminal ya other PC ho sakta hai. Transmitter, actuator aur controllers slave devices me aati hain.

HART Transmitter

Ek traditional analog transmitter bahut easy aur straightforward hota hai. Generally normal transmitter me do possible adjustments hote hain Zero aur Span. Input pressure aur 4-20mA ke output ke beech calibration ke liye generally in dono ko hi adjust kiya jata hai.

HART Transmitter other transmitter se zyada complex hote hain.Other transmitter ki tarah inme bhi input pressure aur output 4-20 mA me hota hai, but inke analog cuttent loop output me kai tarah ke digital variable aur settings hoti hain. In digital parameters ko access karne ke liye HART Communication ya communicator ki need hoti hai..

HART Transmitter 1200 bit/sec ki speed se work karta hai jo ki close loop system me bahut slow speed maani jati hai.

Frequency Shift Keying

HART Communication protocol Bell 202 telephone par based hota hai aur  operate hota hai Frequency Shift Keying  (FSK) ke principle ki madad se. Digital Signal do frequencies se milkar bana hota hai. 1200 Hz aur 2200 Hz  jahan 1200 Hz, 1 ko aur 2200 Hz, 0 ko represent karta hai. In frequencies ki sine wave superimposed hoti hain direct current analog signal cables par.  Analog aur digital communication ko ek sath provide karane ke liye. Kyuki FSK ki value  hamesha zero hoti hai so ye affect nahi karta hai 4-25 mA analog signal ko.

HART Protocol

HART Protocol basic OSI model ko follow karta hai. Jisme  1 se 7 layers hoti hain but HART Protocol sirf 1,2 aur 7 layers par hi work karti hai.

Layer 1 ko Physical layer kaha jata hai. Ye Frequency Shift Keying ke principle par work karta hai, isme data transfer rate 1200 bit/sec hoti hai. Is layer me digital communication ka istemal kiya jata hai, jisme 0 ki frequency 2200 Hz aur 1 ki frequency 1200 Hz hoti hai.

layer 2 ko link layer kaha jata hai. Ye HART Protocol ke liye data link connection ke format ko establish karta hai. isme master aur slave protocols hote hain, jo communication ke sabhi activities ko master protocol hi madad se complete karti hai because ye ek display terminal hota hai. Master protocol field devices ko address karta hai jo commond ko guide karke response karta hain.

 

layer 7 ko application layer kaha jata hai. Jo set kiye gaye HART instruction ko response karti hai. Master protocol real values, specified values aur other kisi bhi data ke liye instructions bhejta hai. field devices in instructions ke according work karti hain. Therefore, master protocol response instruction ko unke status ke sath  data bhi provide karta hai.
